What exactly is Invisalign?
Invisalign treatment is the process of wearing a series of clear, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth with the amount of pressure that’s right for you. No brackets and wires.

What are Invisalign clear aligners made of?
Aligners are FDA-approved and contain no BPA, BPS, latex or gluten. They are thin, clear, and virtually invisible.

How do they work?
Dr. Silverman will design a unique digital treatment plan that maps out how your teeth will need to move for your goal appearance. He then carefully monitors your progress as you wear a series of aligners that move your teeth into position.

Besides being “invisible” what are the primary benefits?
You can remove them to eat, drink, brush, and floss, or for special occasions. There is no irritation from metal brackets and wires.

The SmartTrack material provides a more comfortable fit and is exactly trimmed to your gum line.

Is Invisalign more expensive that braces?
In most cases, the cost is similar to the cost of braces. Cost of treatment depends on how complex a case is and how many aligners are required. Call our office to check insurance coverage and payment plans.

Are Invisalign aligners difficult to care for?
The Invisalign Cleaning System is available from your doctor. You can also brush them with a toothbrush and toothpaste and rinse them in lukewarm water. Never use hot water as it could permanently warp the plastic.

Will my teeth shift back out of position after Invisalign?
Wearing a retainer to keep teeth from shifting is often recommended whether for Invisalign or braces.

Are less expensive straightening solutions available?
Yes there are alternatives to Invisalign clear aligners such as Clear Correct, Smilelove™, and Smile Direct Club to name a few. Dr. Silverman recommends Invisalign because it comes out on top as far as comfort, durability, and resources such as top-notch planning software. Regular checkups ensure your teeth are moving properly and allow you to report any issues so they can be corrected. Cost concerns?
